actuator rod problem *update* + what dump valve do i get????

i had it fixed today by an awesome guy.....he took the rod and welded a new end with the hole and smoothed it all off etc it looked like new.....then he put everything back in the car, along with putting the odd new bolt and washer in here and there to stop a couple of covers rattling.

Once all in and done........low and behold........my turbo works perfectly

she really does feel nice, im quite surprised actually with the acceloration when the turbo kicks in.......i was keeping up with my friend with a scooby wrx when he kept booting it off in front of me! the lil wastegate chatter is nice too

gonna try a dump valve for a bit and see if it annoys me or not now hope not cos i love to hear them going past and dumping.....just wondering if it'll get annoying?!?! lol....................at least theyre easy to remove.

Get a Bailey DV30, then you have the choice.
You can do the chavvy dumping noise if you like (which soons gets very tiring), but as it's a re-circulating type, it's easily plumbed in to shut it up while still retaining the benefits to your engine.

A dump valve will get rid of the wastegate chatter. You either get one or the other - never both.
