HOW DO YOU PUT AN INDUCTION KIT to a turbo

i have been given an universal induction kit filter with a bracket attached to it. Can someone tell me if this can be fitted onto an SE turbo elan . the induction kit is wolfrace . is it a big job to do? and can these be fitted to elans at all? . I tried searching the forum and did not find anything. Is there a step by step guide to do this at all written anywhere. If not can someone please tell me if these can be fiited and if so how do i do this please.

Not sure what your kit includes. Yes they can be fitted. I went with the topend performance kit ( http://www.topendperformance.com )

Off hand I do not remember where the 2 small air lines go but could check if reqd and I do have a spare topend pipe if needed.

There seems to be mixed feelings about fitting them as they suck in warm air from under the bonnet instead of cooler air from outside.

I origionally changed as I my origional airbox was cracked and I wanted the K&N cleanable filter due to the enviroment here and to get rid of the horrible pipe from the airbox to the turbo.

I have a feeling that the best solution would be to keep the old Lotus trash can, pop in a K&N replacement filter and replace the corugated pipe to the turbo with something that would provide a smoother airflow.

That's just my opinion and believe me I'm no expert on this subject..... I have read a few threads over the years and can now understand the logic in the benefit in taking in cold air from outside especially seeing as the OAT is on the wrong side of 40C here... would hate to know what the temp is under the bonnet. !!

Very easy to do
I do believe it breaths easier.
Heat can be an issue, but the inlet filter fits over the old cold air intake.
The turbo inlet pipe has never been too hot to touch, slightly warm.
Now with the White Lightning coating on the Fed. down pipe and
manifold I have cut engine temps by 1/2 from 800 to 400 deg.
