Evening all, does any one have the part number for a turbo wastegate actuator?

Well I have managed to find the part number, NH982511. But unfortunately of little use as there are none around anymore. There are however universal wastegate actuators that can be adapted to fit. Also rebuild kits for the turbo's arent made any more either. Not good news.

What is the actual problem with your wastegate actuator? Is it the wastegate capsule? I've never heard of anyone having any problems other than the wastegate actuator rod sticking through non use

It might be worthwhile contacting turbo refurb. companies to see whether they can sort your problem

They are still listed for £18 (ex VAT) at turbo rebuild limited..... https://www.turborebuild.co.uk/webshop/ ... Seals.html. (but the pictures show different parts to those I have used in the past, so it may be for a different model - you'll need to check with them)

They also offer the shaft/turbine for just under £50 if needed...

So this is what happened. I fitted a new mountain chip. Drove the car and it over boosted. Working my way through the potential problem the wastegate actuator pin was found stuck. On removing the pin then end of the actuator broke off due to it being rusted through. Contacted a company called Turbo Dynamics who listed the actuator on their website. They said they did not have stock and have not worked on Elans turbo chargers in years and thought that they probably could not get the parts. Then contacted another company called Universal Turbos. Who's details I got from this site. I sent it to them they repaired the actuator and rebuild the turbo due to leading edge damage on the compressor. Turn around was a week. Not tried it yet as waiting for parts to turn up from SJ Sports cars.
