Exhaust manifold to Turbo studs

Postby Richmmm » Sat 18.03.2023, 22:30

After having the car laid up over the winter, it has just gone into the garage for the turbo refurbishment.

Midland turbos in Nottingham turned the unit round very quickly and now i am sourcing gaskets and parts to reassemble the turbo onto the car. I have swapped the exhaust manifold, as mine was suffering from quite a few cracks and have mangaed to source a replaceemnt via ebay.

The exhaust manifold to Turbo studs were damaged in the removal process so need replacing, However, they are not available when i put the part mumber into the list on SJ sports cars web site.

Does anyone know the specification of these studs, as a quick google search brings up lots?

Hey Rich,
I just grabbed these photos real quick, so hopefully they can point you in the right direction. Note the two different thread pitches.
