Missing my stuck waste gate

When I bought "Laura" she was ever such a frisky filly, naughty in fact.
But that fuel cutout made me jump!

Then you guys helped me with her stuck wastegate!

And now..

Even though she is everest chipped, which put a spring in her step, she still does not have what she used to have...yes I know it's bad for her, yes I know she can't put all that power down initially,,,but screw it I want to show off to my mates with that initial power surge, I want 200 BHP in first gear and I want it now!!...

....Alan...any chance of a chip with no fuel cutout and full boost from standstill!!

I won't tell anyone....I know it's bad for her I know she will run weak...but I only do it for twenty secconds a week....

How did you relase the wast gate, mine is stuck and like you it goes to fuel cut off.

spray wd40 on it for several days...don't drive it or it will burn the wd off.

Then get a long bar and a hammer and jack up the front of the car (not using the central box section that runs under the engine).

lie under the car and locate the lever arm on the turbo housing (it's a fair way up from underneath and hard to see).

then tap the lever genttly untill it moves adding wd as you go.

once it is free, cover the lever in copper grease.

Mine has been fine for twelve months now.
