I met Jamie

Postby scotlan » Mon 31.05.2021, 15:23

Yesterday, I met Jamie, the world-famous seal man.
I went to his place because he had offered to repair my electric window which was struggling to operate and made unwelcome clanking noises.
In no time, but with a bit of a struggle he had the glass out and discovered that one of the four sliders was missing, not in the bottom of the door either.
My thoughts were, where am I going to get a new slider and on a Sunday afternoon in Fife?

Totally undaunted Jamie went to his kitchen for his wife's thick plastic chopping board and fabricated a slider in true Blue Peter fashion. (I hope the missing piece will not affect future vegetable chopping.)
I am delighted to report that this fix was totally successful.

Well done Jamie, what a star!

Mind you, if I’d taken a chunk out of my wife’s best chopping board, it wouldn’t be the vegetables that would be getting the chop . . . :?

That's Jamie for you. In true LEC fashion he is prepared to help anyone at anytime. Even if it does bugger up SWMBO's chopping board

Lack of parts are never a problem for Jamie, he just makes what he needs.

I have bits of plastic from his other half's sewing machine on my car :D
