I’m currently de-wobbling my windows and have noticed that the window slide rollers have worn flat. I note that SJ have some for sale on their site which are obviously off cuts from a small plastic pipe. Has anyone found a suitable pipe to use?

My first attempt at beating the silly prices for these parts involved a PTFE rod which I turned down to a suitable diameter.
It worked, but wasn't really squishy enough, so I then got a length of PTFE tube with a 1mm wall, outside diameter 8mm, inner diameter 6mm.
Works much better, and as close to the original as I would expect to find.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?
