Hi all,
Now the summer is (kind of ) arriving I am attempting to get the s2 ready. One problem that has been worrying me is the crack in the windscreen. Should I just trust it to the local screen replacement company or should I leave it to a specialist? Elans aren't exactly everday cars and i'm a bit concerned

. Anybody had any experience in successfully having their screen replaced? Someone tell me i'm not the only one who is fussy about their elan...

I would suggest read previous posts as there has been a lot of discussion on this, especially as you need to get the insurance company to agree to do the rubber side seals as well and get hold of them.
Have a look in the section titled 'Doors and Windows' in particular;

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go.
Hmm... just had a good read thru the sad stories and feel depressed
Stupidly I left the crack unrepaired while it was still MOT'd then stored it for the winter so now I can't drive it anywhere until the screen is fixed which limits my choice of repairer.
