Complete engine overhaul Isuzu T engine

Postby wilcox » Fri 29.04.2016, 08:51

Hello,

I am looking for an address where they can overhaul the complete engine. Any references?
Even though the car is from Mainland Europe, I guess I have more chance in the UK to find a good one.
Too many 'no we don't do' here.

What do you plan to do exactly? Does it really need to be overhauled at only 74000 km?
I think I read in the workshop manual that the crank shaft is not overhaulable anyway.

(As for the address, I don't know, sorry)

:agree: Get any bits you need mailed over and then get someone to do the work if you can't do it yourself. However, I strongly doubt any engine internals will be outside manufacturing tolerances after that distance. What are the symptoms you have?

But if you do want somewhere, then I used here: www.nrsec.co.uk/

yes be very careful of the crank case tolerance . i had one of mine done and went below it . then sourcing one was nigh on impossible and that was 7 years ago .
shells and bearings where available from rock autos
Jim Clark S2 - 1/12. The one with the Yellow spoke wheels . No 613 on dash (pushed in to factory in wrong order 615 on tub)

It looks like engine parts in Europe are really rare for the Isuzu 1.6T :O I wasn't thinking it could be that rare, not that we have plenty over here, but I do have spare motors and some engine parts as well.
