Camshaft Identification

Postby RonR » Wed 22.08.2018, 15:52

I'm considering getting a spare cylinder head to build up ready for a quick swap instead of waiting for work to be carried out on my current head.
The one I've found is from a job lot so there's no known history. It looks OK from the photos and comes complete with valves, lifters, cams, cam cover etc but the PCV pipe is missing, which appears to be the only external clue as to whether it's from a Turbo or N/A.

From the parts book it looks like the Head assemblies are identical apart from the cams, so how can I tell if these cams are SE or N/A? Are there any Identification marks? Part Numbers stamped in?

Just thought one of you Gurus might know as it could save me a > 200 mile round trip.

Cheers,
Ron
