i went for an other browse and found another one but with gaskets
Mini thermostat kit QTH100K
it was the last one he had
but i' ve others are intressed you can maybe contact the seller

almost 2 years later.....

fitted the (mini) thermostat, and works well; nice to have some heating again in this chilling weather!
and the beauty is that it only takes 5-10 minuits to do

Is this still the thermostat to get?? Say the opening temp is 77C thought it was meant to be 82.

The one you have is a standard mini thermostat which will fit but - No jiggle pin, no offset, normal flow.

There's no point in having a 77C thermostat in the UK. 82C is the thermostat for normal operating temperature.

Thanks Simon. Please could you point me in to the right one to buy. I have found high flow ones but they don't look like the one in your photo on that thread.

chris.t I'm really close to you in P'boro. I got our local factor to order a 'stat kit based on the QTH100K part no. All the other 'stats I saw involved buying the gasket (which is pointless I reckon, esp if it wasn't listed...) and he came up with this kit.

You're welcome to try it - and replace it if you want to keep it - or order it for yourself, cost was £10.95 inc. On my 'v-f-m thermostat kit' thread others said they'd used it too
