I have a 1990 SE, which ElanScan reports as being 9929, I fitted the Bosch O2 sensor from Rock Autos and I've installed an Everest 1499 upgrade. The check engine light doesn't illuminate (apart from before the engine starts as normal) - even when I unplugged the O2 sensor before switching off after a 30 mile drive today.
The Everest does seem to be doing its stuff as I now have nearly 1 bar boost available, whereas I only had about 0.6 bar before installing the chip.
I'm in the middle of checking the mpg to see if there's any improvement (half way though a tank of petrol), but I guess there has to be somewhere in the Elanscan data that will tell me that the ECU is receiving and acting on data from the O2 sensor.....?
