CAS Cover missing

Postby mitreklov » Tue 25.06.2013, 14:39

Hi all,

A new forum member and SE turbo owner here. I am hoping someone may have some insight on the following.
My new car will arrive next week missing the CAS assembly black plastic dust cover, will the lack of cover effect the workings of the CAS and subsequently mess up the engine management?

I ask because the car has a fault that stops it revving over 4000 rpm under load, I'm hoping to do some diagnostics once I have my hands on the car but any input on this would be helpful. I figured an incomplete engine may not be good start!

Any thoughts? Anyone have a spare cover or know where to source one?

Thanks, looking forward to becoming an active forum member as well as an Elan enthusiast.

It's OK I found the cover on the floor in the car.
