Cutting out under load

Can anyone out there shed some light on what might be happening here.

I've recently and finally got my old 1990 Turbo SE back on the road after re-purchasing it a year or so ago. I've changed the oil, filter, coolant etc and the car itself runs fine, except under load in 4th\5th gear. If I really go for it the car accelerates to a point, judders (like the boost disappears) and then engine management light flashes on for about 10 seconds and goes out again, providing I ease off the throttle.

Everything else seems fine. I have a friend who has hooked it up to read the codes in his garage and he says it's not reporting any faults. The car itself had sat around for quite some time before I got it back, I just wondered if it IS boost related (a stuck waste gate maybe) or something else?

If anyone has had a similar experience could they share it please.

The third one down sounds like the exact fault I am having.

Hopefully with that guide it should be a fairly straightforward fix.
