Sometimes the engine starts badly, with wrong ignition timing, and maybe 3 cylinders. (especially not using the car )

I tried to enter diagnostic mode with a paper clip, but it doesnt work anymore.

The orange engine light works, and it must be the same lamp which displays the diagnostic: is that right ?
If the lamp is ok, I wonder what happens: the Ecu or the ALDL interface ?
I hope it's not the Ecu

Having no reply, I tried with a new paper clip: diagnostic now works.

No errors, however I still wonder what is the bad issue at start-up :
only solution is turning engine off and on until it starts ok.
