Does any one if the CAS is repairable. The one of my partners car is making a racket.

The car still runs fine? I assume the dowel pin has hardened through the shaft it lives in?

Can you define 'making a racket' is it noise from the bearing inside, or something else entirely?

The bearing is replaceable, although there is nothing 'official' in writing about it because both Isuzu and Lotus consider it to be a sealed unit.

A few people have successfully stripped the CAS down in the past and written about it on here, but I can't currently find the thread(s).

I know Neil (Enright) did a write-up about it when he did his, as it seemed quite simple - just drift out the pin holding the 2 halves of the shaft together and it all comes apart (but it is always harder than that!).
