Hot Start Idle Issue

Hi all, I'm sure the collective knowledge in here will be able to point me in the right direction with this issue. I've done a lot of reading on the forum and the wiki, but I've never been very mechanically-minded so I'm very much learning all this as I go and could probably do with some additional guidance!

I picked up my Elan (91 SE) in November last year and have managed to get a fair bit of its issues ironed out since to the point of it being a fairly reliable daily, however I'm still struggling to get to the bottom of a hot start idle issue. The car will start no bother every time, but on hot starts, the idle will heavily fluctuate, almost to the point of cutting out, before settling down to around 950rpm again once it's been moving a bit.

Unfortunately, I've not yet got myself set up with ElanScan, which I know would be more than ideal, but currently I'm not getting any error codes and I've just replaced the thermostat, CTS, radiator switch, in hope it was related to the engine running cold. Any ideas on where to look next?

you done the coolant temp sensor which would be my main suspect

you have also an air temp sensor which may have some effect. but i would find that unlikely

as far as elanscan. i have not offered to make any in the past 6 months because my 3d printer needs setting up. and i dont have the patience to do that unless theres a lot of printing in the pipeline
