Using ElanScan not in a ELan

Hi Everybody.

I downloaded ElanScan (Both stable and beta). I Tried to hook it to a Geo Storm GSI. It's been said the It's a mixture of Isuzu and General Motors so I am not shure wich kind of ECU is it.

Currently I only get the

By what I've read in this forum this means that probably the hw interface is not working properly.

Currently I am using this one:

Which is slightly different from the one that's recommended from the ElanScan web page.

Do you know if ElanScan can work in other cars other than Lotus Elan?

Unfortunately, ElanScan is specific to the turbo Elan - it does not work yet with the N/A Elan. In a nutshell, the command word is specific to the Elan and the ECU is not responding. Your best bet would be to search for an "IsuzuScan" software. Your hardware should work however.

there is some other program someone mentioned once that had an Elan-specific bit that allowed it to work. so even if the ElanScan doesn't work there may be another out there that could be adapted to the Geo, given it will be very similar to the Elan N/A engine -- computer is probably the same, spark tables could be a bit different but the differences would be minor

So I did some soul searching and came up with your answer CLICK HERE = DataMaster


I know nothing more, but maybe they can adapt it to your car??
