ElanScan boost readings VS gauge readings

Postby DaveB » Wed 22.04.2009, 09:28

Just a quicky...

Do I trust the boost figures from ElanScan or the boost guage? They seem to differ by a few psi...

...or do I bite the bullet and get an accurate boost measurer?

Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

The boost gauge is just there for amusement value, use ES.

OOOhhh...had a thought, just in case...

...for those that have an FCD, BBR, etc ...then the ECU is being 'fooled' on the boost pressure...and therefore giving false readings on ElanScan...

Am I correct ??...

...Or is it just the usual rubbish. 8)

I think mine plateaus out at 0.715 bar. I have a BBR converstion. The guage will be reading 1 bar plus overboost
