According to the log file, you were jumping on & off the accelerator pedal without going more than halfway.
Unless that is the case (which I doubt), it looks like your throttle position sensor is faulty.

Hi´ Rip,
thanks for the reply. Just to make sure I have just today changed the TPS with another (testet), and I still have the same problem.
It´s like it is chocking/drowning when I floor the pedal, or when I give so much trottle so the boost is going over 0.2.
By the way there is a lot of sod in the exhaustgas

I have brand new sparks, leads and Hall/CAS.

I have just made a new ECU file (see attachment) (do I have a MAP fault ??)

Hope that you can help

You've got 34 knock events in just under 4 minutes. I'd be putting it in service mode and:
1) checking the timing (16 deg BTDC)
2) see if the timing stayed solid or wavered about

Scan is still not showing full throttle. Can you not find a steep hill nearby hold the accelerator at maximum for a few seconds?
Also you mention dirty exhaust. As Saska suggests, this can be a sign on incorrect ignition timing.
Mine runs very poorly with timing set to 16btdc. Maybe this indicates a problem, but that's beside the point.

I also noticed your PROM id: 5849. I have never heard of it before.

And if it wavers about, what's the remedy? Rebuild CAS?

I'd replace just the HES first but you might be right. IIRC Jon had a bent spline on his CAS and all his problems disappeared after replacement.
The other possibility is the ECU trying to compensate for some other incorrect input but I don't know enough about that to comment sensibly.

To the OP. I agree with Rip that a PROM ID 5849 is unknown, I've looked and Alan doesn't list it on the mountain chip site.
There are 800 logged faults and the only one listed as On is MAP low. So either there is a problem with the MAP Sensor or possibly a vacuum leak from the plenum/manifold though others may have better advice on the cause of the errors.

Thank you very much for all your suggestion. Tomorrow I will make sure that the timing is 16 degrees BTCT, i´ll check for leaks in the vacum to the MAP, and finanly I will try with another ECU unit with another PROM. Then I will make/upload an new file, an wait egerly your responces :P

When RIP says that you are not getting full throttle, just try this one.......

...Plug in elanscan, and turn on ignition - but don't start engine.

On left column, you should have:-

1) Throttle (set at 0%)
2) TPS Voltage (set about 0.35v)

now, put foot on accelerator pedal as far as it will go...

Throttle should go to 100% & TPS voltage to about 4v.

If it does, then you should get full throttle when driving.

If not, get an assisstant to operate the throttle lever on the throttle body under the bonnet (while you still have your foot on the pedal), and see if there is any more movement available - if there is, then adjust your cable length to get full throttle opening with full pedal travel.

Now you should get 100% throttle on elanscan!

If you don't then the TPS position needs to be adjusted until you do - then it is in the right place!

The whole lot only takes a few minutes (I did 4 cars in less than 10 minutes when we were in the Isle Of Man) and will make a big difference if it was out to start with.
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Erik, as your MAP and TPS signals are both low, I think it is most likely to be the supply from the ECU - pin C14 is common to both and should be 5V. See the circuit diagram on the Wiki. It could be a bad connection (clean them), the TPS or MAP sensors may have gone wrong (disconnect the MAP and see if the TPS output changes when you do what Pinky says above) or it may be the ECU 5V regulator (you'll need a multimeter to check the voltage). With incorrect MAP and TPS readings, your car will most likely run like a bag of spanners!

The PROM ID is unusual - could you please send me a PROM DUMP (in ElanScan select File | Dump PROM to BIN...) and I'll see if Alan can shed some light?

Problem solved.

I changed the ECU, gave the wastegate some masage, adjusteded the timing, checked the TPS. What exactly was the problem I am not sure, but it helped - it´s now running like a clockwork. :-D

Thank you all for your helpfull input
