Also it looks like the thermostat is kicking in at the wrong temp. Are there any other issues that I should be looking for or fixing.
Bit of a srange one this. The scan starts out reporting a PromID of 1499, then at 176secs changes to 399, then at 506secs changes to 299. Don't think the 299/399 prom id is too strange as I seem to recall GUK and AlanC reporting this with a switcher. Just think it strange it changes during the run. Did you switch programs at any time during the run?
There are 100,000 faults of prom error which I think GUK & AlanC also reported with the switcher but didn't get the CEL.
The O2/CO potentiometer doesn't appear to kick in and start working until 240secs, after which it bounces nicely between 0 and 4.2V
It doesn't enter Closed Loop mode until 189 secs (Flag 42 Bit 0)
The idle appears to be too high at 1100RPM. (See
Tickover)
The max boost achieved was 0.73 Bar. Reasons for not making expected boost (from ESM's web site):
1. The TPS may be faulty or maladjusted (Don't think this is likely as the scan shows both 0 & 100%)
2. The throttle cable may be maladjusted (Again not likely)
3. Exhaust back-pressure
4. A leak in the intake track (See
JonT's ingenious test rig)
5. Bad spark plugs (gap to big, fouled or otherwise faulty)
6. Another pre-existing fault
I'd agree about the temp being too low. Looks as though the thermostat is stuck open or opening too soon.
Other notes on the scan:
Secondary throttle and EGR valve are working.
Wastegate duty cycle shows 82% which is as high as I've seen so probably OK
There are 3 knock events -- ar the first (397 secs) 1.6°of spark retard was applied -- the other 2 got nothing applied.
