Hi Geoff,

Thanks very much for the cable. Received it some time ago but just been too busy on the car!

I've read the wiki but the link on there seems to link to a Win98/2k and no mention of XP (looking at the readme and also trying to install using the VCP folder and I get no drivers present). Do you have a link to the XP drivers please?

I've used Elanscan on XP, Vista and 10 with no driver problem (other than the one behind the wheel).

Load Elanscan and just try a driver update in the control panel/programmes area.

Unfortunately it tries to install the driver, doesn't find it, and then there is an error entry in the device manager. If I click on upgrade driver it doesn't find it, even if I point it to the VC file.

I now have a couple more USB versions built up if anyone is still after one. Be warned, I'm almost out of pcbs and ALDL plugs, so it's pretty much the end of the road as re-stocking/buying singly is prohibitively expensive.

Can you tell me how to get the drivers for your original USB interface to use it with Windows 10. I can get the PC to recognise the device but I cant update the drivers.

Hi, I'm new to forum and new to owning an m100. bought it with a problem though 'cos I like a challenge.
car won't run over 3000rpm and I have no eml on dash (doesn't illuminate when ignition turned on - suspect bulb removed to get it through MOT)
so I was considering the aldl interface you do (if you still have one) to investigate the issue. thanks.

As a Mac user i and subject to much abuse from Pinky. This also gives him more "told you that they are crap" ammo.
That said i could probably buy some kak old phone to get me in the LEC bluetooth Elanscan world .

So as per usual i would like to acquire said item fashionably late ( or did you have an plug in thing for the very old MK1 version that timmo only returned to me once his ZX81 computer died !.)

Right, I've cracked it… but only after testing a couple of new interfaces on the bench (which worked fine) but then refused to work on the car.

The problem is not W7 Home but the installed FTDI VCP driver:
2.12.12 is good
2.12.24 SENDS DATA BUT DOES NOT RECEIVE DATA
2.12.28 is good

Apologies for the silence but prostate and Spain have taken my mind off this. I ran out of circuit boards last year but there weren't many requests so it's been on the back burner. I've checked through e-mails and PMs and the good news is there appears to be sufficient interest to produce some more. I have ordered a batch of 16 pcbs and I should have some available before the end of the year but this will probably be the end of production. The weak Pound has pushed up the cost, particularly of the pcbs and the FTDI device, by over £5 so price incl. P&P is now £60.
