Thats the nice thing about being on a friendly forum - the software is free - downloadable from ESM's website. It's only a small file so doesn't take up much time/space - but is invaluable in dianosing many/most problems with the engine.
Geoffsmith makes up the cables, but he is away on hols until 13th August.
If you click the link Ailwyn provided, it'll take you to the thread where you can append you name to the long list of people wishing to buy/have bought said cable. (so it doesn't get burried under other posts, perhaps a short PM to geoff may be advisable for when he returns).
If you want to see what the program can do, it is worth downloading the software and then opening up a few of the posted elanscan files - it will give you some idea of what either a fault or a no-fault one should look like.
