Compatible with Windows CE?

Does Elanscan run on Windows CE (as used by some netbooks?)

I can run it on 32bit W7 Ultimate, and 64bit - both on straight W7, not virtual XP.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

OK Ta. That means it doesn't have any 16bit components otherwise it wouldn't play nice on 64bit
Can you also log .ecu files on 64bit AKA do the USB/Serial drivers work on 64bit?

That's a good question which i can't answer!
My IBM was the machine that I put the 64 bit version on, and the Dell has 32 bit - i found that the IBM wouldn't really work well with it (not enough RAM) so set it back to XP for the kids to use......
Certainly, the 32 bit will do everything that XP would (in regards to Elanscan .ecu files).
Don't know if it helps, but the Dell came with 64 bit Vista, but i junked that when i went to W7, and only had a 32 bit version to install - can't remember if i actually used the 64 bit version with elanscan, or if i was still on the IBM at that time......

ES was coded in Delphi. Alan is thinking of re-writing it in e.g. FPK which can be compiled for many platforms. The interface USB drivers are universally supportive.

FPK would be a good call as there are good Delphi resources and it would work on Linux, FreeBSD, Mac, Win32/64 as well as maybe MacOS/Arm (think iPhone) and 64bit Mac OSX

Yes. I had a look at http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm which is where I got drivers for my USB cable when the Elanscan ones wouldn't play with the Thinkpad.
Out of interest which FTDI chip is in the cables?
