ElanScan Problems.

When I connect my netbook and interface to the ALDL plug, run the engine and press Start Talking, although ElanScan shows that it's reading parameters (Engine Run Time, Engine Revs etc) in the left pane I get either :-
No Frame Byte Received, or
No Reply, or
Reply Mode Doesn't Match,
in the right hand pane.
In the Select Table/Curser Dataset box there is 'No Data' although I'm sure it has said 'Dataset 3' or something similar. I also get a sound from the computer speaker at roughly 1 second intervals when its talking.
It's probably me doing something wrong but if you anyone could point me in the right direction I would be really grateful.
