Elan Scan Download

I have a new Everest Chip to fit in my SE but cannot get my ElanScan to communicate with the ECU prior to making changes,
My old note book with elan scan on (download years ago)is running on windows 7 but the set up only shows a list of comms ports to configure. Once " Start Talking" is initiated I just get "Comms Port Inactive"
I have looked for links to download a new version of Elan Scan but all the links I have found appear to be a closed down Talk Talk Webspace.

Are there drivers I should be able to download for USB interface.

I have previously had this laptop & USB interface working but this was some years back.

Any help appreciated

Update:
I've now given up on the old laptop and can see the USB cable on my Windows 10 PC but I still cannot find where I can download a version of Elanscan ????? Im reluctant to copy from old PC

Hi, On the Talk Talk page, click on the 'continue to browse' and it takes you to the old Elanscan page. Not sure if there are any other newer versions.

Thanks tried that but still unable to get a download so finally got one from a link to Alan McNicols site.
Updated drivers as advised on Geoffs post and now communicating.

There could be several reasons why this is happening, such as incorrect connection settings or outdated software. I would recommend checking the connection between your computer and the ECU to ensure that it's properly connected and configured. Also, check that you have the latest version of ElanScan software installed and that it's compatible with the Everest Chip you're trying to fit.
