I downloaded Elan Scan software, where to get cable?

Hi,

I am a bit confused.
I am in an island where there is no Lotus dealership.

Would fellow members advise me as to how to set up this Elan Scan?

Thus far, I only downloaded the software from internet.

What is NEXT. CABLE? Other stuff??

You've basically got 2 options as I understand it. You can purchase a ready made cable here (there may be other places you can buy one but Alan knows his stuff):

Or, you can build one yourself. Kindly, Alan's also provided some basic instructions on how to do it.

I'm not making them for now but it looks like Geoff (a proper electronics type) may be stepping in to replace my amateurish efforts with something more elegant.

I too need the interface. Now that I have a check engine light problem, and a laptop it is time to step up and get a cable. What should I buy and from where? I am in the USA.
