Well, after some fun with finding the ALDL I took the car for a spin and recorded the data. I have to say that Elanscan worked wonderfully with no issues installing, running or reviewing the data. Thanks Alan!
What I'm wondering now is how's my Elan doing? I'm going to be doing some upgrades in the near future and want to measure (and report back to those interested) what the net gains are. But, I'd like to make sure I'm starting from the best possible position and would like to have the car running at peak performace before I start. So, what's the data really mean? What key areas should I be looking at to see if I am running a well tuned car. Anyone have some baseline comparison data? Would it be useful to have people's data online here at the site to downoad and compare to your own? (I'd be happy to share mine).
For example, it looks to me that the peak horsepower I acheived in my run was just over 140 (could be reading it wrong too I suppose). I know the stock rated HP is about 165 or so but there's many ways to measure HP. Is 140 good for a stock car as far as Elanscan measures it????
If anyone can comment/share I'd appreciate it. Thanks all!
