Advice please
I need to take my car off the road for just a couple to three weeks but would it be wise to disconnect the battery. If so does this have any effects when re connected. Will the engine management system need re setting or is this automatic. Also I don't know if the Radio is coded or not.
Thanks
Pete

If you are worried about battery drain, if it is parked on your driveway, buy a trickle charger and run an extension lead to inside the car, this will continually check the battery and top it up from time to time as required. A solar powered battery charger will do a similar job and even with the poor uv light we get here it should be enough to negate any drains in the battery so long as the boot light or similar is not on.
Keycode, I think the radios normally state on it if they have a code, I think most aftermarket radios do not have codes. Not sure how to test....do you not have the radio manual or a service book that contains info on the radio?
