Blower Fan - follow up

Postby scottpegler » Fri 07.10.2005, 21:16

Many months ago (before the new site came online) I posted a cry for help because my blower fan, which has four settings, would work on only the third and fourth settings. I am posting this message to say the problem is solved...As it turns out, it was the blower motor resistor (part # A100P6033S, $38.75 from Dave Bean Engineering). I had checked all related fuses, pulled the fan, checked wiring. Finally, I pulled the resistor, which is located adjacent to the fan motor (easy to get to), and noticed two severed wires (resistor coils)...the culprit! Hope this helps someone else.
