blowing a fuse!

Hi guys, the other night i was driving home, put my foot down 2 get past some1 and was suddenly in darkness! upon inspection i found a fuse blown. replaced it and all was well. however sonn as a drove it again, soon as put foot down it blew again? any ideas?

Hi Matt,
Perhaps part of the accelerator pedal or throttle linkage is earthing the lighting circuit.

When the voltage regulator on my alternator was on its way out a few months ago it started blowing fuses, most critically the ECU circuit fuse but it blew fuses on the lighting circuits as well. This was given away by the voltmeter which was pushing top scale so you might want to check whether your volts are still well regulated or variable with rpm. This fault also seems to have caused the battery to drain quickly, there's a thread misleadingly called 'blown ECU' in the Problems section.

all sorted, turned out 2 be a short, all fixed!

Could you describe where the short was, just in case others have a similar problem.
