FRONT LEFT LIGHT DON'T GO UP!!!HELP!

Hi guys,
I have a problem with my left front light, its don't go up!!!
The motor of this light spin free and the light don't go up completely, but chatter in midle position.
Please, help me:(

Dear Gian:

It sounds as if you need to rebuild your headlight motor drive on the left side. I just did both of mine (left and right) recently and it is a fairly easy and inexpensive repair.

The parts you can get from Rodney Dickman in the US. Very inexpensive and they will get them out to you quick. In fact, I think you will pay more for shipping than for the parts. Here is the link:

Click on the tab "electrical" and dig for it. It looks as if the new kit includes a new gear. All you probably need are the small plastic dowels that fit inside the gear and some gaskets.

AB Motorsport is a long time supporter of all things M100 and their gear change cables are really first class (that might be the next thing that goes for you-just kidding).

You could replace the whole gear but my guess is that you might need just 3 plastic pieces in the middle. The gear itself is quite strong and less likely to break.

If you want -- Rodney website also sell metal version of the same gear -- he calls it "the ultimate rebuild". It might upset the whole setup though -- then the other part will not be as strong, etc. I can't confirm how well they work together -- metal and other pieces.

Just get 3 little pieces in the middle and the new gasket. You might even find it quite enjoyable and want to even do another side for fun.

You don't need to unmount the front fender. Just disconnect the link and remove the motor.
