Pod delay

Sometimes when turning on the lights, the lights come on with the pods
staying down. Now, with a slight bang of the bonnet they come up.

Whats a "Pod delay module"? is this the needed part?? or is it a case of
motor rebuild.

Also, sometimes after a short drive the N/S pod is higher then the other,
"when lights are off". voodoo.. or call my car Christine..
I dont wanna order the motor rebuild kit from the U.S if its not needed.
But im thinking its a case of.

Doesn't sound like a "Pod Delay" to me, sounds like the scourge of all Elan driver's, those pesky headlamp motors.

If you hear the motor spinning but the pod flaps, doesn't come up, or only comes up part way, then that'll be your problem...

Sometimes the lights come on with the pods

Yo. I got that too. First I though they were just another paranormal phenomena

Then I let go the bonnet from 1 foot height, and the pods came up.

It did that 5-7 times over that month and now it's fine.

I suspected bad electric connectors inside the bonnet. I tried touching/unplugging around with no avail. Can't really find the culprit but I guess driving the car around, and the vibration already put them back in place.
