Anyone know what the mounting from exaust to body looks like !!!
i've a rattle on low revs sounding like a baffle floating about...
Checked this out looks ok found the bolt loose on the clamp.
The up and down movement of the box seems excessive.
Any ideas ! No ive not lost my loose change down the seats !
Cheers Stu

Plain inch thick rubber mounts at the rear..
If its a standard exhaust, they tend to move after a few years... check under the car near the front section.... where it begins to change direction roughly between the bottom of the foot wells.. It'll vibrate at about 3000 revs against the body of the car.
It sounds like a baffle..

I had a horrible noise from my exhaust at about 3000rpm, everyone diagnosed baffles but it turned out to be the seal from the downpipe to the exhaust (at the point where the bolts with the springs are), just behind the engine sump.
Its like a metal ring made from some odd mesh material...part number A100S6005F.
