PECO discount?

Does anyone know if a discount is still available from Peco for LEC members as I need a full system asap? Is anyone else out there looking for a replacement too so that another group purchase may be a possibility.

I am assuming that all of you guys who bought last year are still happy with the system. If not could you please let me know.

AFAIK everyone is happy with the Peco, I certainly am.

I believe the discount is ongoing for LEC, have a dig through the Peco thread for Dave Jones' number - not sure what the current price is, but I think it's £295 + P&P.

Flogging a dead horse.... Geoff was rumoured to be planning a similar avatar depicting an activity with a dead horse, but was asked to adhere to good taste and not share with the world what he does on the weekend

I am thinking about changing it, but with the recent rain and the swimming pool in my footwells I think it's still appropriate, for the moment anyway.

Can't conclusively prove that it's because of the PECO, could be that any large bore exhaust would do the same, however, not a problem for me.. not sure how Mr Smith and others are getting on with it though.

Neither does my Peco. Might possibly be a sign of a worn turbo that is made worse by the extra flow

Hinch, I've also been talking with Dave at Peco about getting hold of one of these. He confirmed the £295 + 15 p&p (and helpfully ran some noise tests for me).

I think last time there was a group buy it needed 10 or so to get a discount, but the £295 is already an LEC offer price based on the 15-20 people who bought in the original group. Plus it's good value compared to other options.

If Dave will do another discount for a group and we can get that number together quickly then fine, but I need to get mine ordered in the next week to fit in with track days.

The discount is a sizeable one anyway, and this only because we got a lot of people to join a group buy.

By all means try and get a further discount, but just be mindful of the effort that Geoff put into getting the price we've now got.

Please be careful about asking Dave for another discount.

He did us a very good deal originally (£50 off based on ten sales); as some of us needed exhausts urgently, a few of us paid the full price and Dave was good enough to refund the difference once they had a total of ten orders. As people kept on coming along after the original purchases, Dave was good enough to keep the offer open to LEC. After six months, I spoke to him about the deal (expecting him to say enough was enough) but he basically offered to keep it going indefinitely.

The price has gone up since the original deal, but the price of steel has shot up in the mean time (also affected Marie's roll bars).

I think that Peco have been very fair with us, so by all means see if he will give a discount for a say ten, but be reasonable as there is an ongoing discount.

I wasn't pushing for a group buy and know the £295 is already a sizeable LEC discount off the standard PECO price. Plus Dave's been really helpful to the membership. And for me he's gone out of his way to respond to my queries about noise levels. So I'm very happy to buy at the current price.

Hinch asked if anyone else was looking to buy - judging by reactions so far there's only 2-3 of us at the moment, so no point even raising the group buy question with Dave!
