It would have had to pass legislation in force at the time - Don't quote me but I think around 78 - 80 dB?
Mine (not OE) was 82 at Croft a few years ago. 100 is crazy, maybe even painful  - must be a rabbit off, second opinion needed

There's a spec somewhere for how the static is done (MSA one) and the drive by is Goodwood specific, but common at most circuits.

PECO noise test

Postby Plus2pete » Thu 03.04.2008, 10:17

Hi Chris,
Yes that was me at Goodwood, even though I failed the noise test, I had a great time wandering round the Goodwood paddock with the Top Hat cars – fantastic.

I have just purchased a Supertrapp and male-to-male link pipe from Demon Tweeks. Fingers crossed the link pipe will fit the in the round section of the tail pipe as my PECO has about an inch sticking out of the oval section. Not sure how I'm going to clamp it together though as I don't want to make it a permanent fixture. Any suggestions welcome.

I got the Supertrapp at the weekend and hurried over to my garage in the snow to see if it would fit. The short answer is NO, not without a bit of fabricating and my welder has packed up – great.

The only answer was to cancel the track day for this year and hope that it has lost a few dB for next year.
