Exhaust for SE Turbo H reg no cat

Postby jc_uk » Fri 12.05.2023, 18:49

Hi all,

Looks like I need the rear section, and also mid section (L shape pipe) exhaust.

From engine and first part of straight pipe looks to be fine for now.

Any ideas on who has them for delivery please?

Many thanks

Exhaust available from most classic Lotus dealers, but try PNM in particular. They sell the old Peco exhaust developed for the Elan.

By the time you've bought 2 sections to fit the OE pipes, you may well be better off buying a complete Cybox or Piper system in stainless steel....

..... personally, I prefer the Piper system, but both are likely to be a big improvement over what you have now.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

its also worth noting that the SE exhaust is a fairly straightforward design without a catalyst to build, an exhaust fitting company should easily be able to produce one in stainless for you at a reasonable price and provide it fitted with a lifetime warranty.

mine was built from scratch by such business back in the late 2010's (would have to look at my paperwork to check the exact year) and it cost me £300..
It was roughly the same price as the "branded" alternatives mentioned... with the difference i didn't need to install it.
