thanks Avonvilla, nothings ever simple!

Maybe I'll have a think before I change my exaust, at the moment just enjoying driving it with no cat.

How you finding the sound ? too boy racer or supercar ? lol

At the moment I'm just loving the release of performance and I find the noise entertaining. I did a 170 mile trip to the seaside and back last weekend and the noise wasn't a problem. Perhaps a similar distance on a motorway would be a different story, but that's what the stereo's for!

The whole system is very good quality, and the tailpipe (while large) is I think quite tasteful.

I had my main pipe made at a custom place in Walsall, the down-pipe was made in the US by the guy who did Matt's.

Pre-cat is still in, down pipe is 2.5", up and over the cross member without the squish. It then reduces to 2.25" for the rest of the system.

The sound is louder than usual but not OTT, it also still passes the MOT without any fiddling, and the car rev's and pulls far better than it did before.

I have an ESM chip and the car has been dyno'd at 195bhp before the exhaust was fitted, so it should top the 200bhp mark now.

Not bad for a slow, heavy S2.
