Hi everyone
The clutch cable has snapped on my Lotus Elan. I've rung round a load of places include Lotus, Paul Matty, SJSportscars etc., but nobody has one in stock.
Does anyone know where I could still find one? Or an equivalent part from, say an Isuzu?...
I've found a place that will make one from scatch, but I think it could cost a fortune...
Thanks
Matt

Hi, I have in the past used a local company to Nottingham called Speedograph Richfield, (albeit for a speedo cable) have looked at their website, they say give them the old one and they will make a replacement, might be worth a call to them. Hope you get it sorted

1 bed apt. (sleeps 4) at Lanzarote for rent Oct-Mar £200p/w and Apr-Sept £250p/w LEC members get 10% discount for a week and more for longer stays. E mail me for details and pictures.

Thanks. That's similar to the site I found, albeit the one I found specialises in clutch cables too.
Was hoping there was an easier, quicker, cheaper alternative.
e.g. Finding an almost-fit and making a small adjustment at the garage. Or finding an OEM part in stock somewhere.
Edit: sounds like this could be the solution:

Hi Gus,
You may try Dave Bean here in the states. I understand
they bought a lot of the remaining m100 stock from Lotus.
They are in California
Good luck
Carl
