FIRE IN THE HOLE - HELP NEEDED FOR COOKED FUEL PIPES

Hi all

I have been restoring an abandoned M100 turbo and I had an engine fire, all my fault, don’t ask how…!

The fire spread down the back of the engine and melted the first 8 inches or so of the two fuel pipes. I can sort the return pipe no problem but I’m not sure how to join the engine end fitting to the feed pipe - how hot do I need to get the plastic pipe to get the fitting back into it (can I get it hot enough with a hot air gun?) or should I use some sort of compression fitting or a steel pipe pushed in tight with clips/clamps etc? I have got the plenum off to get at it all. Also I need a fuel pressure regulator (diagnosing this was the start of the fire). I freed off the seized old fuel pump and it seems to work ok but I should probably get a new one? Recommended value pumps - is a Kemso pump ok?
