Hi,i have a hard top that i bought last year which has an inner lining.this has started to come unstuck.any one out there know the best product to fix it.would like to get it sorted before it goes back on the car.

When I replaced the headlining on my Lotus Excel I used this stuff from "Woolies" and it worked very well with no sagging.

I had the same problem with my hard top : the lining Simon installed started to "sag" : I pulled back the front lining (windscreen end) then "hung" the hard top from the ceiling of my Garage (as if the top was in position on the car) using 4 nylon cords and "S" brackets.

I then pulled the loose lining away from the roof, which created a sort of "tunnel" and then used a high temperature spray adhesiveon both surfaces, allowed to dry for 5 minutes and "smoothed" the lining back in place (working from front to back) using a plastic body filler card and wallpaper seam roller.

So far, it seems to have worked!

can you remember what type of adhesive you used Gareth,and where to get it from,i think the spray idea would be best as you would probably not have to pull too much away,

Spray Adhsive I used was : "Woolies" : High Heat Resistant Aerosol adhesive : IIRC circa £8

1 Can should be enough
