jacking point

Has anyone found a supply of the big washer used with the jacking point in stainless ? I have had mine of to check for dreaded out rigger rust, they look fine, thank God, I also pulled carpet back. My washers and bolts don't look that good and I would like to replace them if possible. I'm sure bolt is not a problem but big washer maybe. Any ideas ?

I got some stainless steel washers made up whilst repairing the jacking point and outriggers. Basically it's a large steel washer as you say so it shouldn't be too much of a problem for a local engineering firm to knock 4 up for you. Take the old ones as a template for them should be less than a tenner each.

I think I may have found a firm on line that can laser cut them in any thickness of stainless I want. They also seem to cut parts to drawings so I may see how much they want to cut me 2 of the plates that attach the bottom of the A panel to the sill as I have some nice new fixings for here already. I will post their details and costs when I have had words with them.

I have just received my new jack pads, I had them cut in 3mm stainless steel 63mm OD 12mm ID. I used the firm I found on line and would recommend them, very quick and kept me informed with emails. Four pads came to about £30 including VAT and post was free. I have let the guy I had contact with know what they were for incase anyone else contacts him. mail to:Tim@lasermaster.co.uk I have not fitted them just yet as I want to inject wax into my jacking points and its too cold right now.
Another flash of inspiration I had was to buy a 7mm USB endoscope from ebay, only £15. With this I have been looking every where for rust, its brilliant and I am relived and surprised to say that I can't find any. I did discover wax in my right ear though. I still intended to give every where a good dintanol when the weather warms up a bit though, I have seen the rusty outrigger posts.

Careful on the pressure when the weather improves enough to Dinitrol your right ear.

About 4000 pounds per square inch is right for an ear. Any more is overkill and can in fact be counter-productive!
