Just wanted to ask a simple question. The dealer ive brought my car from is asking if I want waxoyl underseal on the car. Is this something I should have done or leave as is?

For me that would depend on the cost (it's about £60 to buy the spray and wax), this is a very messy job but at least you know you've done it and that's if you fancy doing the job.
If you confident they will do a good job and get into all the cavities etc and not just blitz the outside just to cover everything up it's well worth doing.

If there is rust under the car already it will only cover it up and make it harder to remove it and repair get the car home check for rust repair any and then Waxoy it

....as you can see, to do the job properly (as Lotus intended) it is quite involved, so if your garage are doing it right, then it could be worthwhile (if the price is right!). But if they are just giving it a squirt where they think it needs doing, then it may hide more than it protects.

Having just done some "waxoyling" I would say if you can get a good job done for a good price go for it !
It's a very messy job and it goes everywhere

The last time I got rustproofing done “professionally” they managed to get it on the windscreen, hood, tyres, engine compartment, etc. Hopefully some of it got into the cavities.
