What fuel are you runing.. 4*, unleaded or (diesel..

Does everything appear to work..
Engine, electrics, ignition.. spark plugs...

are your plugs fuel soaked ?...
Not 100% on N/As, but do they have amplifiers, same as an old condensor...

Hi Spek
not sure about that question the car has a distributor unlike you turbo peeps but i,m sure this prob is not a condenser breakdown that usually fails slowly with a severe missfire .....
(MGB petrol head also)

I had same prob on my n/a a while ago, turned out that the bottom of the expansion tank was in contact with the ht lead on the coil causing a bad contact. On another occasion non starting was due to a damp dist cap (inside) a sqirt of wd did the trick
hope it's of some help

Makes you wonder doesn't it?
Roadside repairs: 1) Check spark....... 2) Check there is fuel.....
RAC man obviously doesn't know this list.

With respect the guy did check spark, "not fuel" but he did get a low voltage on the injector side and said there was a poor connection But bless it was Belting it down with snow on a part of the road where i live which is renowned as a race track .and he stayed with untill a proper truck turned up to get me ome and bl..y cold it was
Cheers chum
