Engine emissions

I have been trying to register my 1992 Elan here in Slovenia. They claim it can not be done without original emission figures. Anyone know what these would be and if engine is euro 2 certified?

Euro 1 certification wasn't required for any of the Elans (until the S2), so no, the Elan and Elan SE are not Euro 1 certified (AFAIK). Euro 2 certification wasn't required until 1996 after the Elans were discontinued. I believe the Elan S2 is Euro 1 certified though, or it should have been. As for the official emissions figures, I can't find any reference to them - anyone else help?

Thanks for above. Anyone know of a contact at Lotus that may be able to dig out the figures?
This is a new law ( March) here in Slovenia where you pay an import tax based on emissions. Can go up to 25% of cars value!!
Is this now europe wide?
