Throttle Pos Sensor

Postby lotusrepair » Wed 07.10.2020, 20:22

I had the engine light come on and off several times on the way home today. It was always at low rpm while driving and the engine was struggling to run and then picked back up. If the revs kept up then there was no problem. At home with the elanscan there were 4 faults. The only issue shown was tps low being on. I was showing .40 volts with the car running on idle. Are these sensors available?

What I am trying to determine is if it is the sensor or a voltage drop going to the sensor. Has this fault been seen before?

TPS voltage is ~0.4V at zero throttle and ~4V at WOT. You can see the data live on ElanScan (ne need to start the engine) as you press the throttle but it sounds like an intermittent issue so try and save an ElanScan log when you have the problem.
