Fuel pump not priming / working

Postby Stef » Tue 12.07.2022, 09:06

Wondering if this may be related to a flat battery.

Battery had gone completely flat so replaced but there is now no whirr from the fuel pump on ignition prime and car will not fire up.

Any advice?
Thanks!

Steff, I'm not a mechanic, but it could be that the fuel cut-off switch has been tripped when the battery was replaced! The fuel cut switch is a red plunger type switch behind the passenger side, lift the carpet and look there! Hope that this helps? Cheers from Clive. ( Should of added that it is in the same hood stowage compartment as the battery!)

Managed to get time to check again yesterday and YES! The cut-off switch was up so mercifully and easy fix! :)

Thanks! :)
