engine check light

have i killed my elan. i changed the hall effect sensor then the pipe for the map sensor. i then put the car into service mode checked the timing then was adjusting the co reading, i switched the engine off with the car still in service mode. when i went to restart it the check light stays on all the time, the car won't idle and won't flash up fault codes the check engine light stays on all the time. is my ecm dead.
ps i've only had the elan a few months so this is my first real problem

I would suggest completely disconnecting the battery for a few minutes - and then re-connecting - this should reset the ecu, which may help.

if that doesn`t work check the wire`s on the Hall that u fitted and might be worth unpluging the 2 wire looms to the ECM and then reconect. Possible u`ve got a lose conection
