replacement Fuel Pump

I need to replace the fuel pump on my 91 Elan. I can find no listings for this fuel pump from any US suppliers. Does this pump fit any other US car? Hoping to find that it may be the same pump as an Isuzu or something else mass produced.

You have tried re-setting the inertia swith in the battery compartment haven't you?

What is the easiest way to reset the switch?

Simply pushing the button on top?

Having been down the road before only to find that my problem was not the fuel pump I find it very had to imagine the fuel pump going bad. I did replace mine but the problem ended up being the injectors. I am not sure what problems you are having but you should check your fuel pressure or things will get very expansive if you just start replacing things, that was what I did

Thanks for the help so far. After 1st establishing that the inertia switch was reset and good via pushing the plunger in and pulling it back out...
I moved on to make sure the fuel pump had power and that the relay was good. I need to test the pressure and spent half the day looking for my fuel pressure test kit. Unfortunately it was not to be found before other committments took over for the weekend. I can make the car run by spraying fuel into the intake plenum.
Bear in mind that this car has 216,000 miles showing on the odometer!!!

Perhaps I can go for the highest mileage record for a 1991 Elan.

Where can I find the special tool used to separate the fuel lines from the pump?

there's a fuel pump FUSE next to the inertia switch so be sure that is okay as well!
