No start........fuel pressure?

Knowing that I will probably do upgrades in the future, would it be wise to go ahead and install the 225lph instead of the stock sized 165lph or will the cars electronics not be able to cope?

As it is a 'wasted fuel' system, ie, it pressurises the fuel rail to a pre-determined pressure (as per the fuel pressure valve), and the excess fuel returns to the tank in a continuous flow via the 'return' pipe, it shouldn't make any difference

I assume that it just means that it will pressurise the fuel rail a bit quicker when you first turn the key, but after that, there will be a bit more flowing from & returning to the tank?????

Whether there will be any noticable difference, I doubt - but I'm open to persuasion from any experts out there.

The manual states the stock fuel pump is capable of delivering 4 to 5 times the maximum engine requirement so unless you had a very very high power requirement the stock pump is up to the job. 165lts/hour = 36 gallons (UK)/hour
Even the Rally BDG (270HP) did not consume that much fuel at 4 miles to the gallon on stage.

Ok, installed an Impulse replacement pump. Still couldn't hear anything but low and behold I have fuel pressure now!!! Still won't start but I put a noid light on the injector plugs and I'm getting a signal from each one. So, I guess I need to send off the injectors and have them cleaned. That should fix things.

So, you can confirm that the pump for the Isuzu is the same as ours? I'll put that in the wiki cross-reference if so.

Nope, it's not the same. It's the same flow rate but it doesn't mount the same. Wish it did. I've managed to mount it to the assembley where it won't be going anywhere but I wish it were like the stock one. The end mountings are different enough that it's not a direct fit.
